Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT)
solutions provider, today announced that it has been awarded Vodafone's Supplier
of the Year.
The award was presented by Detlef Schultz, Global Supply Chain Management
Director and CEO, Vodafone Procurement Company (VPC) at the annual Vodafone
Supplier Conference.
Huawei won the award in recognition of its spirit of strategic partnership
with Vodafone and the competitive products and services that Huawei has
delivered to Vodafone. As of July 2012, Huawei and Vodafone are working together
in more than 20 countries. Continuous improvement and innovation are important
components of Vodafone's Supplier Performance Management Programme, which
evaluates supplier performance regularly and in which Huawei consistently
performs well.
